Benedikt Breisacher is a PhD student at the Faculty of Cultural Studies. His research specializes on the transformation of democracies from a gender-historical perspective. He received his Master degree in Contemporary History at the University of Münster. His current PhD project “Antifeminism in the German Federal Republic (1945-2000)” explores the different forms of opposition to women’s emancipation and their impact on the transformation of public debates and democratic institutions since the beginnings of the German Federal Republic.
